Sweet News For Your Heart

Before we talk about the "sweet news for your heart, it's important to understand the the not-so-sweet news for your heart.

In the January edition of Shape 2010, the magazine did an article on the Not-So Sweet News For Your Heart". The article is a another strike against sugar. Here's what the article revealed.

From the sugar in your coffee to that late afternoon pick me up brownie, chances are you easily exceed the 6 teaspoons of added sugar recommneded daily. The habit just may put your heart at risk, as reported by the University of California. What thier researchers found, that people who consumed more than 42 teaspoons of added sugar a day, their blood pressure rose 5 points in two weeks.

"An excess of fructose [found in table sugar and HCFS high corn fructose syrups] causes cell dmages, which may increase bllod pressure," says Richard Johnson, M.D. A good start: sprinkle less sugar in your coffee and tea.

Well that's the bad news for sure...

Here's the sweet news for your heart...

Diabetics and weight loss consumers know all about natural stevia sweetener and blue agave. In an episode of Dr. Oz, a well know TV celebrity on ABC, he recommened only two natural sweetners: stevia and blue agave.

Stevia sweetener provides us several benefits: it's natural, it has high intensity, and no calories or carbs. Stevia based high purity sweeteners are natural. Stevia is 2 to 3 hundred times stronger than sugar and it has been a proven product for weight control and diabetes.

Applications for natural stevia are growing everyday and this natural sweetener has positive physical and functional advatnages. Natural stevia sweeteners are great for use in a wide selection of food uses and drinks. Artificial sweeteners with aspartame and sugar most certainly will be the targets for emerging stevia sweeteners. Drinks will be the first primary application.

Blue Agave is organic- as a sweetener that is organic, this natural sweeteneris extracted from the extract of the Blue Agave plant. Blue Agave has been consumed for centuries. It is sweeter than regular sugar and Agave is a low glycemic Index (GI) sweetener. This organic sweetner is absorbed slowly in the body, preventing the raising of blood sugar levels artificially, so a little goes a long way. Use this organic sweetener instead of table sugar or for baking. Blue Agave is available online and in many health food stores.

Now you have the full story. Always choose stevia or blue agave or table sugar. stevia liquid sweetners are now available from our website: www.yumdropsflavoring.com.
